Eloralintide CAS number and identifiers

Eloralintide is an investigational amylin receptor agonist developed by Eli Lilly and Company. It is not approved for any use. This page lists the registry identifiers attached to it, what each one is, and what none of them tell you.

Identifier table

IdentifierValueWhat it is
NameEloralintideThe established name used in the published papers and by the sponsor.
Lilly development codeLY3841136 (also written LY-3841136)The sponsor’s internal compound code, used in registry records and Lilly materials.
Other development codeAMY-1176Listed against the same substance in the FDA registry.
CAS Registry Number2883634-40-8A chemical registry number that identifies the substance.
UNII73G3354J8WThe FDA’s unique ingredient identifier for the substance.
USANeloralintideThe United States Adopted Name.

Source: the FDA substance registry record for UNII 73G3354J8W, read on 2026-10-01 (precision.fda.gov). The sponsor code and its link to the amylin analogue are confirmed in the peer-reviewed paper by Briere and colleagues, Molecular Metabolism 2025 (PMID 41109426). Registry entries can change, so check the FDA record for the current values.

What a CAS number does and does not tell you

A CAS number names a substance in a chemical registry. It is a label, nothing more. It does not mean the substance is approved, that it is safe, or that any particular product sold under that number contains what its label says. The FDA’s own registry page says a UNII does not imply regulatory review or approval.

A CAS number says nothing about purity, identity or quantity in any particular sample. Those are separate analytical questions, covered on our testing page.

Do not confuse it with macupatide

Lilly’s registered Phase 2 studies pair eloralintide with a different compound, macupatide (LY3532226). They are separate molecules with separate codes. See macupatide and eloralintide: what the registered trials show.
