Read with care: A registry record describes a study’s plan and status. It is not a result, and it does not show that the drug works or is safe.
Study context
What the study tests
This Phase 1 study gave a single dose of eloralintide or placebo, blinded, to Chinese adults with obesity or overweight. The primary endpoint is the number of participants with treatment-related adverse events and serious adverse events, and drug-level measures are secondary. The record lists 30 participants and about 10 weeks per participant.
Who can take part
Participants were aged 21 to 65 with a BMI from 27 to 40 and a stable body weight. To qualify as Chinese, all four biological grandparents had to be of exclusive Chinese descent and born in China. People with chronic heart, liver or kidney conditions were excluded. The only listed site is in Singapore.
What the registry does not say
The study is marked completed, with primary completion on 9 September 2025, but no results are posted. A single-dose study cannot show how people respond to repeated weekly dosing, and the record registers no efficacy measure.
