This multiple-ascending-dose Phase 1 study examined the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and effects of eloralintide alone, and with tirzepatide, in Japanese people with obesity or overweight. It ran at 3 sites in Japan.
Read with care: A registry record describes a study’s plan and status. It is not a result, and it does not show that the drug works or is safe.
Study context
What the study tests
This Phase 1 multiple-ascending-dose study has two parts and enrolled Japanese adults with obesity or overweight. Part A tests eloralintide (listed as LY3841136) alone and Part B tests it together with tirzepatide, both with placebo controls. The primary endpoints count serious adverse events judged related to the study drug, at week 22 for Part A and week 34 for Part B. The record lists 128 participants.
Who can take part
Adults aged 18 to 65 needed a BMI from 27 to 40, a stable weight and no diabetes. The record excludes any malignancy in the past five years and, for Part B, tirzepatide in the previous six months and a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma. Sites are in Tokyo and Fukuoka.
What the registry does not say
The study is marked completed, with primary completion on 21 November 2025, and no results are posted. Body weight change is a secondary measure, at week 12 for Part A and week 24 for Part B, so the record is built around safety and drug levels, not efficacy.
