Combination P1 Primary public evidence Sponsor press release

On 15 September 2026 Lilly said it would present Phase 2 results for eloraTZP, the combination of eloralintide and tirzepatide, at an EASD symposium on 30 September 2026 in Milan. The release also cites a Phase 1 finding that adding eloralintide 3 mg to tirzepatide 5 mg led to 17% weight loss over 16 weeks against 10% with tirzepatide 5 mg alone.

17% vs 10%

Weight loss over 16 weeks, eloralintide 3 mg plus tirzepatide 5 mg vs tirzepatide 5 mg alone, as stated by Lilly (Phase 1)

Background and context

Registered studies that pair the two medicines

ClinicalTrials.gov lists a Phase 2 study of eloralintide and tirzepatide in adults with obesity or overweight and type 2 diabetes (NCT06603571). It lists 367 participants and is marked completed. Three Phase 1 records also pair the two medicines in adults with overweight or obesity: NCT06916065, NCT06345066 and NCT06297616.

Matching the release to a record

None of those four records has results posted. The release quotes a 16-week Phase 1 weight figure without naming a study, so the figure cannot be matched to a registered result.

Trial records: ClinicalTrials.gov NCT06603571, NCT06916065, NCT06345066 and NCT06297616, read on 2026-10-15. Registered plans can change.
