Background and context
How the analysis was built
The authors ran a frequentist random-effects network meta-analysis. It compared each treatment, split into dose strata, with placebo inside a single network and ranked them with P scores. The primary outcome was percent change in body weight from baseline. The protocol is registered in PROSPERO (CRD420261340457).
What else is in the network
The abstract also names amycretin, CagriSema, semaglutide and liraglutide. The estimate for each drug comes from different trials with different lengths and populations, so a gap between two estimates is not a direct comparison.
Who wrote it
The six authors are at hospitals and universities in Bangladesh, India and the UK. PubMed lists no company affiliation for any of them. The full text reports no funding and no conflicts of interest.
Which eloralintide study was pooled
The abstract does not name the six trials. The full text names Billings and colleagues, 2025, a Phase 2 trial run in the United States, as the eloralintide study in the network.
