This multiple-dose Phase 1 study assesses the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and effects of macupatide alone, and macupatide with eloralintide, in Japanese people with obesity or overweight without type 2 diabetes. Each participant is in the study about 4 months. It lists 3 sites in Japan. The registry’s short title names only macupatide; the official title includes the combination with eloralintide.
Read with care: A registry record describes a study’s plan and status. It is not a result, and it does not show that the drug works or is safe.
Study context
What the study tests
This Phase 1 multiple-dose study tests macupatide alone and with eloralintide in Japanese adults with obesity or overweight who do not have type 2 diabetes, with placebo as a comparator. The primary endpoint is the number of participants with serious adverse events judged related to the study drug, at week 25. The record lists 60 participants, and each is in the study for about four months, including two stays of three to five nights.
Who can take part
Adults aged 18 to 65 who are Japanese need a BMI of at least 25 and a stable body weight. People with type 1 or type 2 diabetes, chronic heart, liver or kidney conditions, or earlier exposure to macupatide or eloralintide are excluded. The three listed sites are in Japan.
What the registry does not say
The study is listed as not yet recruiting, so every date is a plan. No results are posted. Body weight change and drug levels are secondary measures, so the record registers a safety primary endpoint and no efficacy one. Primary completion is planned for June 2027.
