Primary endpoints

  • Primary: pharmacokinetics (AUC and Cmax) of eloralintide and tirzepatide by cohort, and the number of participants with treatment-related adverse events and serious adverse events (ClinicalTrials.gov, confirmed 2026-10-01)

Primary registry record

A trial registration shows that a study exists. It does not show that the compound works, is safe, or has been approved, and recruitment says nothing about the eventual result.

This open-label Phase 1 study looked at how well eloralintide, alone and with tirzepatide, is tolerated, and at how much reaches the bloodstream and how long the body takes to clear it, in people with overweight or obesity. It had six cohorts (A to F) at 3 United States sites.

Read with care: A registry record describes a study’s plan and status. It is not a result, and it does not show that the drug works or is safe.

Study context

What the study tests

This Phase 1 open-label study has six cohorts. It gives single and weekly subcutaneous doses of eloralintide, and of eloralintide with tirzepatide, to adults with overweight or obesity, and its title names relative bioavailability alongside safety and tolerability. The primary endpoints cover drug exposure (AUC and peak concentration) in each cohort pair and the number of participants with treatment-related adverse events. The record lists 188 participants, with about 26 weeks for the first cohorts and 11 to 12 weeks for the others.

Who can take part

Adults aged 18 to 65 need a BMI from 27 to 40 and a stable body weight. People with diabetes or an HbA1c of 6.5% or more, a gastrointestinal condition that affects gastric emptying, or recent weight-loss medication are excluded. Sites are in California, Florida and Texas.

What the registry does not say

The study is marked completed, with primary completion on 19 January 2026, and no results are posted. Every registered endpoint is a drug-level or safety measure, so the record lists no body weight outcome at all.
